Washington Airport Guide

Comprehensive Washington Airport Guides

The city of Washington DC has two main airports. Dulles or IAD is the main international hub for the American capital, and is served by many major airlines including American Airlines and United Airlines. Dulles Airport is situated around 26 miles west of the centre of the city, and is connected to the city centre by a number of bus services, hotel shuttles and many taxis.

Its domestic counterpart is Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, which is just 4 miles from the Washington Mall, and easily accessible. Most major US airlines offer regular services from their respective hubs to Ronald Reagan Airport, and it is a popular choice for tourists and business travellers alike.

Both airports offer excellent shopping in their large duty free areas, and for convenience, there are a number of on site hotels at Dulles Airport where you can relax and freshen up before a flight, or stay the night if you have an early departure.
